Others Have The World

All things are words belonging to that language
In which Someone or Something, night and day,
Writes down the infinite babble that is, per se,
The history of the world. […]

– Jorge Luis Borges, from A Compass

Compiled over several months, Daniela X’s snapshots of the faces of Buenos Aires – taken during the depth of Argentina’s economic crisis – map the global challenges of the 21st century onto the quotidian struggles of the humans that populate it: their busyness, their anguish, their exaltation and depression; the moments of despair and the pockets of joy that puncture the bustling activity. An extensive and compassionate look at what makes a modern city, and what moves the people within it.
